Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod invited the Calgary Girls Choir
to enter three of the competitions at its 55th Festival in July 2001. Artistic
Director Elaine Quilichini will conduct the Allegra and Brava ensembles in the
Children's, Youth and Folk Song Choir Classes. We will perform at Eisteddfod's
world-class Royal Pavillion and at other venues throughout the Festival. Watch
for us on July 4, 5 and 7 at Eisteddfod.</p>

were commissioned by Ms Quilichini especially for the Calgary Girls Choir, and
premiered at major Canadian and international music conferences during the past

<p class="body">Another wonderful invitation! On Canada Day, Ms Quilichini and
CGC choristers will join the Shrewsbury International Music Festival and Guest
Conductor Professor John de Revere from the United States. This is an exceptional
opportunity for our Choir to work at the international level with an outstanding
musician and teacher. A highlight will be the Massed Choir performance of Hope
for Resolution at the Festival Concert at Shrewsbury Abbey.</p>

<span class="title">As the Summer Wanes - We're on the Road to Biggar</span></p>
<p class="body">Calgary Girls Choir is off to Biggar, Saskatchewan in September.
This is a dream come true - Ms Quilichini will be the featured Guest Conductor
at the Annual Conference of the Saskatchewan Registered Music Teachers Association.
The Brava ensemble will perform for the delegates and townsfolk of Biggar, Ms
Quilichini's hometown.</p>

<span class="title">On Location with CBC Television</span></p>
<p class="body">Look for the Calgary Girls Choir on location with the directors
and crew of CBC Television's Opening Night. Ms Quilichini and our choristers
are thrilled to accept the invitation of Canada's national television broadcaster
to tape a segment of the show's festive season program. The Choir will represent
the Prairies, and perform wonderful music with guest musicians.</p>
